2011 Season -- Week 9 -- November 7, 2011 -- Back to TSL History
So we had a couple of big surprises in Week 9. Who knew that Matt Moore and the Dolphins would wake up and clobber the Chiefs and end their 4-game win streak. Moore apparently wants to keep his starting job next year and do what he can to lose the “Suck for Luck” contest. Not sure what happened to the Chiefs, but they just could not find the endzone at home. The movie we had all been watching since he left Denver, “Forgetting Brandon Marshall”, ended apparently last week as he torched the Chiefs secondary for 8 grabs and over 100 yards with a score. Nice job sir.
And look at Tim Tebow! The first Denver QB to rush for 100 yards in 35 years. Suh-weet! He and Ravens cast-off Willis McGahee ran all over the Raiders D for a combined total of 281 yards rushing. WOW. With the Broncos win, the Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers losing, all of a sudden we have a little bit of drama going on in the AFC West, with three teams at 4-4 and the Broncos at 3-5. The rest of the season is going to be interesting!

Or maybe that’s the pre-Thanksgiving pumpkin pie… (Got you thinking about pumpkin pie, now didn’t I?) And Game 2 squeezes out three more bringing us down to 8 remaining. Those of you who forgot to make your pick this week got lucky. The Eagles choking gave you all another chance. Whew! Don’t forget this week!
